LPD arrested several people at the Lincoln gun show a few years ago for sales and possession, so it is more than a technicality

Guess I don't have to worry, mine is under 3". The knife, I mean.  ;D

I carry a Swiss Army Tinker model all the time. Works good for me.

If it is clipped to the inside of the pant pocket, but the clip is exposed outside the pocket, does that count as concealed?  What about a folding knife on a belt sheath (in which the knife is completely concealed)?

I'm glad we have all these laws to keep us safe.

yeah, this really is disappointing. I just found the knife I love and it is illegal?  I will measure it to be sure someday.....

I was wondering the same thing. Anyone know? I keep my knife clipped in the utility pocket of my pants. The clip is clearly visible.

The knife laws here are weird. I know of a guy who got seriously hassled for having a folding hunting knife in his truck.

I only have small folders, which is fine since I prefer my fixed blade knife for deer hunting. I am always conscious of how and where in my vehicle I store it during hunting season.

My EDC blade is typically one of my Gerber folders.

I EDC a Kershaw RJ-II. 3.25" tonto blade. I was initially concerned that, because it is an 'assisted opener', that it might actually be illegal. But, I don't live in Lincoln....and I've never even been to Hastings.

In my research however, I've found that 'spring assisted knives' are separated from the 'switchblade' classification due to how they are deployed. If anyone knows anything different about that, I'd certainly be interested.

Anyway, Kershaw has outstanding customer service. I sent a knife in with a broken blade, expecting to get an email  with an estimate of cost for replacement blade and repair. I was completely honest in the work order, explaining what I did to break it. 2 weeks later, I received a new knife in the mail, no questions asked.

While I will always consider the purchase of more expensive and better quality knives, Kershaw has won a fan for life.

Ended up going with a Benchmade 470-1. It has been a great knife with a solid assisted opening mechanism and is crazy sharp.
