If you have not been to this, or a similar class, you need to attend.  Chris presents some priceless information that all who own a firearm should be familiar with.

This class is excellent.  My first enrollment in it was a few years ago when it was first offered by CZ, and then re-enrolled this past Fall as a refresher.  Also, this past summer I enrolled in a similar course in Minnesota along with CZ and Bullit which was sponsored by Armed Citizen's Legal Defense Network (great road trip with those guys). The ACLDN course (2 attorneys and Massad Ayoob) was excellent from a general perspective, and CZ's course is spot on from a Nebraska-specific perspective. We can read all we want about this issue, but CZ coalesces the material into a jammed-packed session that will leave you with a greater appreciation for understanding the legal aftermath of a critical incident...and if you have made the decision to carry and/or use only in a home defense situation, then you need to have this knowledge under your belt.  Plus, if you are ever successfully involved in a critical incident, having a certificate of completion of such course won't hurt your case and will probably help your defense. Do you have an attorney lined up yet in case you are involved in a critical incident? After you take this course, you *will* be looking for one proactively instead of retroactively (from a holding cell...at best).

I took this course in October and came away with a lot of knowledge.  I encourage you to take the class with Chris.  He does a good job of keeping things moving and interesting... and you learn a lot.
The master has failed more than the beginner has even tried.

Taking your CCW class the next day... would it be stupid to take this one before?  Or would it matter?

Before or after doesn't matter.  Just take it.  It's a great class.

This class is definitely a "must take" for anyone who plans on keeping a firearm for self defense.
