Open Carry in a vehicle
« on: February 03, 2013, 08:44:58 PM »
I recently joined an have a quetion.  I purchased a hand gun and plan to carry it  in a locked glove box in a minivan.  I plan to declare it if stoped by a inforcement officer.  Is there any way that this gun can be considered a concealed weapon?

Unless your glove box has a clear door, YES.

It cannot be accessible to you while driving. Put it in the trunk unless you have a CHP.

No, it can be accessible, just has to be in plain view. In the glove box is concealed.

Location will be a factor  too, as open carry in Omaha requires a special Omaha issued open carry permit or a CHP
