Was LB503 debated today?
« on: May 06, 2009, 06:58:44 PM »
I heard LB503 (Shooting range protection act) was possibly up for debate today.  Anyone hear anything about it?  I'm really hoping this one passes.  The city of Lincoln is getting a little too close to my range for comfort.

Council starting on her amendment

She's trying to fill Ernie's shoes.  It's not working.  She's looking very amateurish.

She's complaining mostly about eminent domain, building codes, noise ordinances, etc.

Council's AM1260 has failed, 3 for and  25 against.... ;D

Committee amendment AM1080 passes, 39-1 ..... ;D

Debate on LB503 continues.

LB503 advances, 42-2   :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Awesome!

Having the bill advance is almost as satisfying as seeing Brenda Council fail.  You're right when you say she's trying to fill Ernie's shoes, but luckily she's an idiot, while he was an intelligent if misguided man.
