Rep. Mike Leara said Tuesday that he considers his bill a statement of principle. It would make lawmakers guilty of a felony punishable by up to four years in prison if they introduce legislation restricting gun rights.
“I have no illusions about the bill making it through the legislative process, but I want it to be clear that the Missouri House will stand in defense of the people’s constitutional right to keep and bear arms,” Leara, a Republican from suburban St. Louis, said in a written statement. He declined further comment.
The bill proposed by the MO Communists have no chance of passing either, but it's time those who truly believe in the WHOLE Constitution started fighting fire with fire.
Did I say "Communist"? Yes! Let's be honest and call them what they are. The political platform of the Dems for the last 20+ years has been indistinguishable from that of the CPA. And a good number of "Republicans" are that in name only (RINO). Most Dems call themselves "Progressives", which is a code word for "Communist" or "Marxist" or "Socialist". Practically speaking they are the same Genus & Species, and only differ by minor variations. In a free society there is no crime in being a Communist, but it is dishonest to waddle like a duck, quack like a duck, eat duck food, and claim not be a duck. Right now, regardless of if you see it or not, the battle in this country is between those who believe in the Declaration of Independence and the Full Constitution of the United States, and those who would replace it and our Republic with a Socialist State where the government determines what licenses it will grant you or take away from you.
