That goes to show that (1) standard deviation doesn't necessarily equal accuracy,

Or, accuracy is not the same as precision.  I would take precision over accuracy any day because I can  always adjust the impact point.

Good point - I know they're not the same thing, but I'm still guilty of using the terms interchangeably.

One thing about standard deviation is that although it doesn't necessarily equate to accuracy,it will rear it's ugly head at longer ranges. At 1000yds loads with large SD's will not be near as accurate even though both loads at close range will look similar. Wildgoose and I  will get to experience this property in about 3 wks at Alliance.---Mike.
