I remember when this happened a while back.  The officer was eventually fired (and rightly so) but if I remember correctly he's appealing it, claiming he's not responsible for his actions because he suffers from PTSD or something like that.  The bad thing is, this officer has a history of this behavior and up til now the department looked the other way.  It's guys like this that give the 99.99% of cops who are good a bad name.  If I was an officer I would be furious as this jerk.

I never understood why people freely answer questions and or consent to searches?

This officer is nothing more than a pile of **** who gives good ones a bad rap.

GreyGeek:
After watching the video it is obvious that the officer was ranting so much that even when the victim tried to tell  him he had a CCW and a permit, the  officer interrupted him with yet another tirade of abuse and lethal threats.  And the city of Canton wants to put this man back out on the road with a badge and a gun?  It can end in only one way:  he'll kill or maim someone and the victim or next of kin will win a multi million dollar judgement which the tax payers of Canton will have to pick up because they are too lazy to keep an eye on the folks they hired to uphold the law, not use a badge and gun to violate it.

bburen:
this guy is just an ahole!
