Gauging Interest for a Reloaders Auction.....

After the fantastic success of bigblocks ammo auction, I have tossed around the idea of doing one similar to his.  I was thinking of doing something like this:

1 - New never used RCBS  FL .223 Carbide die set.
1 - 1000 count box of Winchester Small Rifle primers
1- 1lb Bottle of Rifle Powder (Either BLC-2 or a substitute)
100 - .223 once fired brass
100 - Match 68gr Hornady BTHP bullets.

Would there be any takers on this auction?  It would be a no reserve, 100% of proceeds goto the NFOA as a donation in the winners name, type deal.

Or we could do 5 seperate auctions for each component of the deal... But I would prefer it go as one lot...

Now, this stuff isn't cheap, so It would be a shame if this thing went for $50 bucks....

Remember what it is we are up against, and remember what it is the NFOA DOES for us.

If you are interested in this type of deal, chime in.

THIS IS NOT THE AUCTION, THERE IS NOTHING FOR SALE, This is only to make sure that I don't get burned and the NFOA doesn't get cheated for hosting such a great Association.

I am just starting to collect my reloading equipment, so I can't pitch in, but I can donate something else.  I don't know what the interest would be in a rain barrel, but I would donate one for auction. (I own a small business that produces Rain Barrels)  They are usually $75, but however yall wanted to handle it would be fine.

Just a thought.  By the way, I suggest separate auctions.  I think you will get more cash and someone might just need one of the auction components.

FWIW----having recently put quite a bit of reloading equipment, accessories, components, etc. out on the Forum for re-ownering, my experience has been that individual line items move through the Forum much better than whole lots.

Thanks for the advice guys.  After I had the idea typed up, it came to me that that lot might run a bit rich, and if I broke it up we might have a better chance of getting some real interest.

But for now, its a no go, as there is zero interest. Ha!  I don't mind keeping my stash either... I have made my donation to the NFOA.  I was just trying to help out someone that wasn't as fortunate as I was to catch items in stock.

Ok then..let me offer this instead though; 100 pcs 1x fired 9mm brass (cleaned and sized even) and 100 FMJ bullets.
That way I can do the same in the next one.

Eh hmmm.  What are you incenuating? There is no reserve if I start this auction, and I refuse to gouge anyone for anything.  I see it as you getting a great deal on hard to find items and making a donation to a great cause all in one shot!

Zero interest myself, but I do love what the forum members have been doing to help ease some of the component / tooling shortages abounding

If I had extra stuff to get rid of, I would be doing the same.

Robert so far there are a few pieces of equipment that would need to be purchased in order to start reloading.
If a person ever wanted some instruction, I would be willing to help them out. I have also read in a post somewhere on here about a reloading class/instructions.

Not showing near the interest as I thought this would.
I put the components together today..(no, that don`t mean I loaded them..hehe) and have to make a correction; I thought these bullets I had `rat holed` were FMJ, but they are 115g JHP, made by PPU.
However you decide (if you decide) to do this auction whole or part, I will pay S&H to anywhere here in NE.
