Anyone seeing 30.06 locally?  Just looking for 40 rounds or so.

Define "locally" ?  I was at Scheel's - Omaha / Village Point this afternoon and there was at least 60 to 70 boxes  of 30.06 by various manufacturers / bullet weight.  You should be able to pick up 40 rds out of the selection on the shelf.

Several of the Omaha area Walmarts received ammo shipments tonight.  The one by my house (Irvington) puts it out as they get it unloaded and as of 8:30 tonight had probably at least 15 50rnd boxes of Federal 9mm, 5 100rnd packs of 9mm, 3 boxes of .40, and I just missed 2 1000rnd boxes of Winchester M22.  I picked up one box of .40 and one 100rnd pack of 9mm.

It is highly likely the above post may offend you. I'm fine with that.

Which Walmart has ammo at 4AM?  I'd be willing to get a little early on occasion for a decent ammo deal. :)

Here in McCook we are seeing more and more Denver folks coming here to buy ammo only to be let down cause all we have is shot gun shells and some 270 rounds and thats about it.

Ha, I guess I forgot to put Omaha area.
Thanks for the replies about the ammo.  I didn't want to drive all over creation to find 2 boxes...

Has anyone seen any bulk packs of cheap slugs around town? I'm looking for a bunch to practice with. Does anyone have some they're willing to part with, or any slug reloaders? I've got tons of high brass, but haven't gotten into reloading for the shotgun, yet.

Can't say about "bulk" packs.  I have found the 5 slug / 12 ga packs of "Military Grade" ammo at Dick's for about $7.00 per pack.  Yeah, I know - Dick's (spit)....

There's ballistic gel tests of cut shells.  It is NOT favorable towards cut shells.
