Plattsmouth City Council hearing CCW arguements 1-7-08 and 1-21-08

For those that have missed this in other threads, save the dates if you can! Plattsmouth currently does not honor the Nebraska Concealed Handgun Permit. We are trying to get that changed. A group of us has already spoken once in front of the council members, but there will be at least to more nights of presentations before any action will (or won't) be taken. Please show up and support us if you can!

The latest information I have is that the council has asked the Police chief to speak at the first council meeting in January and our group to speak at the second meeting in January.

Plattsmouth City Council meetings are the first and third Mondays each month, so that should mean:

1-7-08 Chief of Police presents information

1-21-08 Concealed carry supporters speak.

Hope to see a big turn out at both meetings.

A group of us met the week before the last council meeting to discuss our agenda and strategy. I believe this would be a good idea to do again.

Hopefully we could get the group of people that are planning on attending the council meeting together after the 1st meeting on the 7th so that we can organize our thoughts and agenda's in response to what the Police Chief says.

Our last brainstorming session was held in Plattsmouth at the Godfathers Pizza, some of us open carried and had no problems. Please let us know who will be attending these council meetings and we can start narrowing down a date and time for our planning meeting.
