Enemies of freedom will take the biggest bite they can out of the right to keep and bear arms.  This bill is just one of many angles they are attacking from.  And they know that if they go for a really big bite, even if they don't get all of it they can get some of it, while pretending to be open-minded and fair and all that because they compromised.  Then later they can go for the rest of it.  And more.  Step by step.  That's what they mean by the word progressive. 

I think universal background checks and related issues have widespread popularity due to media-generated ignorance.  So the best course of action at this point is probably to do what we can to get the truth out about them.

With such a massive barrage of propaganda coming from liberal media, there is a tendency among many whose commitment is weak to want to give in on something.  Patriots should be talking to those who are weak and ignorant and explaining the truth to them, about individual bills like this one and also about the overall assault on freedom that this one bill is just another part of.

I refer to this as deprogramming.  We all have access to indoctrinated dupes, and we know the truth about these issues, so this means to do what we can to defend our Republic is available to us.
