Uh huh.  I wasn't aware that most of the veterans from  Vietnam, Gulf War I, Iraq and Afghanistan are dead.  Or, maybe it is that they prefer NOT to live in Beverly?   Is Beverly becoming like Berkeley, to small to be a nation/state and too big to be an insane asylum?

Memorial day parades inform the young about the sacrifices their parents and grandparents made for their freedom as much as it is to honor the veterans.
