That's quite a wide range!

Feedback on the forum is indicating around 40-45 days recently.

They were very polite - but yes you are right - that is a wide range - just didn't know why the vagueness...and if it was common throughout the state.

Do you think they are trying to discourage people by extending the time frame? Making it inconvenient?

BY STATUTE...they have 45 CALENDER days to issue you a permit (even if temporary).  They have been fairly compliant as of late from what my students have told me.  Anywhere between 35-45 days.  Should you reach the said 45 CALENDER days (NOT business days mind you), I would contact them and nicely but firmly inquire when you can expect your permit in accordance with the law.....

Got mine on May 17th, 37 days from when I applied.  Date on the letter was the 16th so the mail even came pretty quickly.  That was from the Omaha office.  Not sure if timelines vary depending on the office used, but that should give you a recent data point.

Mine took 42 days .......but then I ran with a bad crowd 30 years ago. :o
So i have some arrests on my record from the days before i met my wife and got married. :D

Nothing that would keep me from getting it or owning Firearms but enough that Ncis checks
always come back as Delay.....status  :'(

So i figured it would be at 45 days or right about.  ;D

This thread was two years old!

Took two months to get mine. They sent it to me and had my address printed incorrectly, but close enough to arrive at the right place. I called them and had a new card in my mailbox the very next day.
