New member from Lincoln area
« on: May 05, 2009, 08:52:02 PM »
Hi everyone, I just joined NFOA and the forum yesterday and wanted to say hello.  I'm a member of the Ikes range in Lincoln and absolutely love it.  It's a great place to shoot, with lots of fun activities.

I've been shooting pretty much as long as I can remember, ever since my first Red Ryder.  My main interest is rifles, especially BPCR and military surplus.  I haven't really done much competitive shooting other shooting in the local big bore gong shoot at the Ikes range.

I've met a lot of great people shooting at the range, and I'm looking forward to meeting more on this forum!

Welcome, bk!
The Right to Keep and BEAR Arms is enshrined explicitly in both our State and Federal Constitutions, yet most of us are afraid to actually excercise that Right, for very good reason: there is a good chance of being arrested........ and  THAT is a damned shame.  III.

I would like this. Unfortunately I won't be in town on July 3rd though. Post if you end up doing this again or another time, and will try to join in.

Well, I'll be working the morning of July 3rd, but if we do it on a free weekend I'd be happy to show up.

I think it would be fun to get together and shoot, too.  The Ike's range allows members to bring a guest for $5 a day.

It is actually $10 for a guest, unless they are under 19, then you can bring two for free, but you must supervise them.

Yeah, you're right.  It's still pretty cheap though.

To any area NFOA members that are  interested,  I will have available NFOA window stickers (FREE with a Donation of $10 to the NFOA) at the Rock your Glock Shoot at Lincoln Izaak Walton range Saturday June 6th

http://rockyourglock.tripod.com/index.html

I only have about 25 stickers available at this time. I will be there about 9am

I hope to see you there. If you have never been to the Lincoln Ike's range, just come out and look around. No fee for visitors , unless you decide to try your hand at the 3 courses of fire setup for the competition.

It is open to most all types of centerfire pistols and revolvers, not just Glock. Specialized classes for revolver and single stack 1911's

I'd be in for Coffee on the 3rd.  Not sure what Starbuck's south's attitude is regarding CCW, and I haven't seen a CCW not sign.
