So, what happened to all those stories about the government buying up all the ammunition and the public would never find another round for sale ever?      I was in Scheels/Lincoln last night....looked to me like all shelves/all calibers full.

*probably a good deal/per round..btw.

Not really- With the sale price it still comes out to $ .6445 a round.
Cabelas has .223/ 5.56 almost falling off the shelves right now, too.
Their Federal 'military' 20 packs were $9.99.  and they had some bulk packs too.

Natchez has offered that bulk barrel in the past, but even before the panic it wasn't as good a deal as you would expect when buying that much.  I think it was running around .30 - .32 or so mid 2012.  Plus you have to factor in freight.
