Title: Daughter's first day at the range.
Post by: bkoenig on October 09, 2011, 05:07:54 PM
I needed to try out my new .22 SBR upper today and my daughter recently asked if I would take her shooting, so I figured I would do both.  I'm very proud of her, she shot well and was very safe.  She took it very seriously and had a lot of fun.

Somewhere, Sarah Brady got a migraine at around 4:00 Central time.  The SBR upper with collapsible stock worked great for her - she's a tiny little thing and has a hard time holding up even a youth sized gun.

The CO2 pistol was more challenging but she was able to keep it on a paper plate at 7 yards:

I think when she starts dating I'll hand these to the boy and tell him "this is how she shot when she was seven":

She isn't entering the pistol poker hand competition at the meeting,  is she? :o The humiliations that aging brings can almost be unendurable.
Way to go Pop! Safe and fun is the ideal start.  RJ

You really need to be careful, first the wife claims the CZs, now I think you may lose a SBR!

Two thumbs up!   Teaching your daughter to shoot is not only a valuable investment for the both of you, it will be one of the most rewarding.

It's pretty bad when my daughter has more rounds through a new NFA toy than I do.
