A little more info for individuals who may be interested in helping out at this match as a Range Officer (RO):

- We do not require that you are a certified RO (such as USPSA, IDPA, NRA). We are happy to train you to run shooters in this match (running the shot timer, etc). We also need RO's to work as scorekeepers, helpers and also to staff the sign in tables for each stage.

Whats in it for you?

- Glock gives each RO a "gift" of your choice for each day that you volunteer to work the match. (Gifts include new Glock pistol magazines, range bags, match entry fees, Glock Knives, etc....)

- Glock gives each RO a Range Officer Hat and Polo Shirt for working the match.

- Glock gives us ONE Glock pistol certificate (redeemable for a standard (9/40 Glock), which we give away by drawing. For each shift a RO works, over the weekend, you get your name in the drawing. IF we break the overall match attendance record, Glock usually gives us TWO Range Officer guns to give away. Last year we beat the record and gave away two guns to RO's. This year match attendance across the country has been up 20% so far.

- The match is a "Lost brass match", meaning in order to keep the match flowing, competitors are not allowed to pick up brass. This means the RO's working each stage keep a bucket handy and are able to collect quite a bit of brass over the two days. - Very nice benefit if you are a reloader :-)

- If you are a camper, we can get you a spot for your RV (with water and electrical hookup) at no cost right there at Heartland Shooting Park.

- Finally you get the opportunity to meet and work with some great people, as well as you get so see first hand experienced shooters from all over the country competing in this match. We will have competitors coming from many other states, including as far away as Florida!

This is a fun match to shoot in if you've never tried it.  I've gone three years... won a G19 on random drawing for being my first GSSF match and $100 on random drawing last year.  Glock takes good care of their customers and even better for ROs.  I've come away with quite a few knives, magazines, and entry fees because I usually work the whole weekend.  It's a good time so you should come on out!

Still looking for a couple more folks that might want to volunteer as a Range Officer.

Even if you cannot volunteer to work at this match, please come out and shoot the match!!! Only a couple weeks away

Question:   Since Pandemic is the weekend before this match, will the stages be mostly recycled setups from that match?  Planning to shoot both matches and simply curious.  Thanks.

Thanks, Chris!  I think there's 3-4 of us in Kearney coming to this match and it'll be our first GSSF match.  Can we do all the necessary registering on site, or is there something we need to do/join prior to arrival?

Thank you!

You can sign up on site at the match if you like, BUT it is MUCH EASIER on you if you PRE-REGISTER here on this link:

http://www.gssfonline.com/registration.cfm (http://www.gssfonline.com/registration.cfm)

If you or others coming with you are NEW GSSF members, make sure you sign up at the registration table for the "New member drawing".

I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone new to GSSF matches read the New Shooter Brief here...
