Since this is another bump stock ban, maybe it'll help with legal action to get the Lincoln ban repealed?

First thing that came to my mind: I wonder how many criminals would take advantage of this, as a means to dispose of guns that have been used to commit a crime?  It's the perfect means of disposal.  The cops take the guns away without asking for ID, and then they destroy the weapons for them.  Do the police even bother checking the guns to see if they've been involved in a crime or not?
