Title: Anyone know a gunsmith who has experience with H&K G3 and CETME rifles?
Post by: CitizenClark on August 07, 2012, 04:59:05 PM
I am thinking about taking a CETME off my brother's hands. He spent several months traveling through Central America, came back at the beginning of the year and was in Maine for a while, and now is moving to Seattle with his wife. I've been keeping the CETME and some other firearms for him, and while he is pretty eager to take his Maadi and Browning A-5 back, he is kind of wanting to get rid of the CETME. Any thoughts?

I think Run N Iron does some work on HK rifles.

Hah, good catch on the subject line/body disconnect. I was running out the door earlier and jumped the gun on saving that message.

The reason I would be interested in a gunsmith is because I understand there were some serious quality control issues at Century Arms when they were churning these out,  and I like my anatomy where it is. I've fired the rifle and I'm here to post about it, but I'd be interested in knowing what to look out for if I am actually looking to buy the thing.

There are some great web sites on the internet that deal with every aspect of Cetme rifles.  A simple search should turn up plenty of info.
