Quit having this on days where I can't make it!

I keep wanting to take your class because I've heard good things about it, and I don't teach any carbine courses---so I'm looking for a place to send people for intro short-range carbine stuff.

Well, maybe next time.  [sigh]

I also do private classes for guys in your situation. If you can get at least 3 people (including yourself) we can setup a day and time that works for everyone to get it done. I have a group doing that exact thing towards the end of the month. We are running from 12:00 - 8:00 on a Friday because that's the only time that works for them. I can also do out of town courses for anyone interested in that sort of thing so long as you have access to a range that meets the criteria for the course.

It is a great course that really leaves you hungry for more.  I suggest it to everyone.

Will it still be snowing?  :)

The course usually runs from 8:00 am until about 4:00 pm. If you guys can reach a general consensus on a day that would be good for everyone we can definitely try to make something work. Unfortunately I can not guarantee that it won't snow.

I've taken two of these classes this spring and you guys won't be disappointed.  No matter your skill level, you will come away feeling that you spent a quality day of training.   You will discover weaknesses you didn't realize you had and come away better prepared to use your rifle in a defensive manner.  The AR is a fantastic self-defense weapon, but to use it to it's full potential you need to train and stay fresh.  Reloads, malfunction clearing and shooting from different positions are a perishable skill, if you don't use them they will be lost.

This is a fantastic chance to get the rifles off the bench and improve on your skills.  You'll also get the chance to meet some great new guys that share in the love of our country and the rights we've been endowed with.

If a course was made available the following weekend would that work for most of you? It would probably have to be a sunday. Give me some feedback and I can the scheduling worked out.

As far as proper equipment goes, you can get by with just your rifle and some spare magazines. I also recommend Howard Custom Holsters for mag pouches and other custom gear. Hes local, friendly, price is awesome, and makes great stuff...his gear is all I use now.

Turns out that I'm available that Saturday after all, so I'm sending my email now to see if the class still has openings.

Remember, folks:  I'm a pistol guy, so making fun of my rifle shooting isn't nice!
(Though it is expected.  :)  )

It'd a fantastic day to take off, and drive down with me!

I see that five slots are currently available. How large is the class size?

This was originally a private class of 5 but we've decided to just go ahead and fill it up since scheduling this month has been so crazy for everyone. Class size is maxed at 10 students so with Nick signing up there are 4 slots left.

I'd have to call in dead.  That's the last day of school for students, and I think my principal's head would explode if I skipped that day.

Hm.

No, no, I'd better not.   :)
