Dad of the Year?

Good response from the dad and police, but not quite "dad of the year" if his under-12-year-old child was up playing video games at 1:00am. Sorry, but I'm hearing my old HS football coach's lecture play in my head where he said nothing good ever happens after midnight, and if he ever saw us out of our houses after midnight, under any circumstances, we were off the team for the year.

Get the <12 y.o. in bed about four+ hours before that, and reading instead of playing video games, and then I'll cast my dad of the year vote for him.

remember, that pic was taken hours after the beating, and after the hospital had cleaned him up

"Police responded to the scene at about 1:00 a.m."

Yeah, I kinda rethought the Dad of the Year nomination when I reread the whole article.
Sounds like this was going on quite a while under his nose.
