In light of the recent success in North Platte, I'm wondering if Grand Island/Hall County residents or others are aware of the sign posted at the entrance to Hall County Park (south of Grand Island)... Was visiting G.I. today, decided to take a drive through the park as I hadn't seen it in several years, and was totally surprised to see this at the entry gate:

I never knew that was there, we will be picking a different site for our next years getaways.

Is this a public park??? I thought it was ruled this couldn't be done in our public parks/rec areas.

Yes, it is a public park, listed here on the county website: http://www.hcgi.org/content.lasso?page=6135 (http://www.hcgi.org/content.lasso?page=6135)

Atleast you got real signs. Instead of north plattes plastic wrapped paper that is sun faded and folded over from wind so you cant tell what it says.

That's why I never carry a Beretta or clone.

Open Carry is legal then according to the sign as long as you don't have a permit.

Sounds like we need some local volunteers to go to work on getting these things ripped down. We can clean up the whole state!

The Omaha Hanscom dog park on Maple used to have a similar sign. It has since come down, but there is still one between Westwood lane and Atwood ave on 132nd.
