Title: .300 Blk AR pistol
Post by: Hardwood83 on October 26, 2013, 11:15:27 AM
Put this together recently. 10.5" MAS Defense upper with a Troy rail. PSA lower (with a coat of silver ceramic engine paint- just because) Sig SB15 arm brace. Fired it last weekend and am very pleased with it, although ammo is hard to find/$$ currently. I don't really have a purpose for it but wanted to try out .300 blk. I will probably add a red dot and get a flash-hider that accommodates my YHM 7.62 Ti phantom silencer.

does that arm brace really help?  im asking because that seems like a lot of weight for an arm to hold out there.

Couldn't tell you- I haven't used it as designed (ie inserting your forearm and strapping in). I have improvised it in a way not intended, and for that it works perfectly.

You wouldn't perhaps have any political aspirations? With that quality of smoke you would do quite well ;)

My load that I have worked up to:

Hornady 150gr FMJ
15.5gr Lil'Gun (started at 14.4gr I believe)
Remington 7 1/2 primer
Mixed brass (formed from damaged 5.56/223)
2.065" OAL

I could go a little hotter but it cycled my 9" AAC pistol just fine and accuracy testing with a pistol doesn't work the best :)

Get a case gauge (LE Wilson works) as you will need it to form cases.
