Title: old style AA hulls?
Post by: gibbs459 on January 05, 2011, 07:32:19 AM
Where would I find a decent buy on the old style 12ga AA hulls? I am not a trap or skeet shooter so I am not familiar with that world. But these are the hulls for loading my slug ammo! ;D They work beautifully! I am looking to buy around 1000.

The new AA HS will work but do not crimp as nicely. I am kinda OCD when it comes to crimping. :P

Go with the Remmy STS hull.  It's as good a hull as there's ever been made and it's one piece like AA's used to be.  They load wonderfully and will be much easier to find.

You can still find a few, but have to pay a premium for them. I remember when you could find them for less than a nickel apiece. Obviously those days are gone. I haven?t seen a hull on the market for that. The Win Universals and Estates are even up around a dime. :o
It's been a while since I went shopping.

Guns Unlimited in Obamaha has once fired new style AA hulls for $4.50 per 100.
