Just noticed Heartland Park is having something. Anybody else planning on attending anything, or putting anything on?
History-
April 19 1775- what is considered the first shot of the Revolutionary War - aka - The shot heard 'round the world.

Interesting, I hadn't heard of this.
-
There have been some notices of events on Facebook, but none of them in Nebraska.
-
I am hoping we don't go through that again. Wishful thinking I know, but I hope for peace.
-
I'm moving more stuff to my shop this weekend or I would probably host something at my farm.
-
Looks like the one at Heartland is sponsored by Tom Brewer.
Maybe WE should have thrown something together. Anyone want to meet me at the Ikes Saturday Morning for a single volley?

There will be about 1250 youth exercising their rights tomorrow at various trap ranges. I wonder how many know the signifigance of the date.

Well, be sure to take the time to educate them.

How strange. A shot heard around the world. How can that be? Appleseed does a 13rd. nation wide volley every year with the name or a fallen militiaman read before each shot. It really brings up some emotions from deep down inside.

It also marks the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising against the Nazis in 1943, the BATF's costly raid on the Branch Davidian Church in Waco (20 years ago, today), the gun turret explosion on the USS Iowa in 1989, the capture of the Boston Marathon bomber in 2013, and very sadly also the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995

This is a busy and sad day in history, for things that go boom.
