BUMP!!
today is the day!
Anyone from Lincoln need a ride? I might have room.
-
On my way there! See you all soon!
-
I dropped in toward the very end of the evening. Needed to run some rounds through a new Shield and picked up an extra magazine! Pretty sure I lost a few pounds sweating on that range!
-
Good to see everyone that made it out. Not a lot of traffic, though. Perhaps a Saturday would be a better day to try to recruit members.

How many members showed up?

I think Mali said about a half dozen people showed up that were already members, and he was able to get 5 more signed up at 88 Tactical.
It was pretty slow last night.

I think I counted 8 members showing up and about half of them were there to volunteer, and we registered 5 new members.
Shout out to Mike for letting me shoot his Criss Vector. Thanks, that was a blast!
Also, a big shout out to the staff at 88 Tactical. They were great to work with and even helped us out with loaning us an iPad to use when the public wifi wouldn't work so we couldn't register people.

I was not there, but I would imagine that the time of year and week, along with weather was a major factor in the low numbers. With vacations and such, people are not at home.
-
Starting plans for our next one at a Lincoln range. Hoping for October. Weather should be better and hoping for a Friday or Saturday evening.
-
I might be able to make that one. Maybe I could talk some others to attend.

Maybe we could include a friendly competition for a couple of bucks to raise some funds... poker shoot type of thing? Heck, I might even have some poker targets in a box in the garage I could donate.

That's an excellent idea!

Found my bag of poker targets... I'm more than happy to donate them (I have about 50). I was also looking at another old thread about shooting events and I have three cases of bowling pins if we wanted to do a bowling pin shoot.

That would be amazing! Really appreciate that. We will that to our planning for next time!

If its the afternoon or evening I should be able to make Lincoln one. Latest I ever get off work on Saturday is 4pm, usually earlier.
-
We were thinking early evenings, so that should work out :)
