Post by: shooter on August 27, 2018, 11:10:41 AM
The fall Lincoln gun show is Sept. 29-30. this is usually a pretty big show.  its at the Lancaster event center,  thats on 84th street  on the north east corner of Lincoln

Take your time looking around the hsow, there are always some good deals. yes some are over priced, but you gotta really look to find the good prices

Thanks for the heads up!
Do you have suggestions for the less experienced on how we can know what is a good deal and what isn't worth it? I know that it really depends on the items but sometimes there are things that are just more obvious.

well, Im selling a few guns, I look thru gun broker and look for completed sales.  not just what someone is asking for it. and thats what I mark mine as. what something actually sold for,

and it all depends on what you actually are looking for, I spend a lot at every show.  just have to know what the item you are looking for sells for, compared to the condition,

and if your looking for something special. ask at each table. most still have boxes of stuff they didnt have room on the table for.

Rule number 1 is don't impulse buy unless you are already in the market for something in particular. IMO

if you got one of those fancy phones, look it up/ gun broker or mabye Buds guns, or DE guns. see what they well stuff for. or stop by my tables and ask me,

but then i buy lots of stuff, if I dont like it, I can always sell it at the next show

I plan to go now sure what time.  Not looking for anything in particular.  I'm old fashioned, I'll drool over wheel guns and lever action rifles. Not likely to buy a lever gun unless its 22 since I don't actually hunt.

Just when I think I've got my work schedule figured out they change it.  First it was on almost every Saturday. Then it was 2 on, 1 off. Then off every Saturday. Now i"m on the 22nd don't know about 29th or October 6th (NFOA breakfast). I do know I will be off Oct 13, 20th, going on a cruise.

What I read, is that the best time to come is in the afternoon. ;)

I just got off work.  As soon I finish my lunch I plan to put on my NFOA shirt and head to the gun show. I have at least one flyer if any one asks me about the shirt.

I usually left flyers, biz cards, stickers, patches, etc on the table that advertises the next gun shows. They always disappeared.

I got two comments one was shooter, the other was US Law  Shield vendor.

BTW that top break revolver I looked at would be 32 S&W short according to the web search I just did. Some people in another forum said its worth $30-50 so it defiantly over priced at $129. Good thing I passed on it.

Show is small, about 1/2 what it is vs. the spring show.  Saw some friends, and of course Bob (Shooter) and gsd was there.  And gsd had stuff that I couldn't live without.
