Kearney gun show is coming up. Afixer has already volunteered to help out on saturday, and Glock1 has also commited to help out. Can anyone else volunteer some time saturday or sunday to help recruit? Let me know.
The show is in a new location, but still on the fairgrounds. This show gets bigger and better every year. We will be going out for refreshments after the show, and may have a little get together at my place to turn a few prairie dogs into pink mist, along with some grilling and spirits afterwards. All NFOA members are welcome to attend.
-
You talkin about making pink mist on Saturday or Sunday? I would like to do one day or the other , but not both. I might be talked into bringing a couple of members with me.

Pink mist on Saturday after the show.
I have had a rough couple months, and am ready to blow off some steam. I will have refreshments here after the shooting, free to NFOA members, till it runs dry. I live 15 miles northwest of Kearney. Weather permitting, it should be a great time.
I will be grilling burgers and brauts till I run out, I am not a vegetable eater, so bring your own if you want. I am a bachelor again, so don't expect anything too fancy, you are all welcome at the bachelor pad. Directions will be handed out at the show on how to get here.
Anyone who brings out a single hot chick will get first shot at the prairie dogs.
Sunday I will be finsihing off the keg.

SBARRY:
Well, under everyday circumstances, your offer would be too hard to resist:
1) Help NFOA @ Kearney Gun Show,
2) Eat some Good Stuff and Meet Some Good People,
3) Make Some Pink Mist out of Cynomys ludovicianus, the Ubiquitous Black Tailed Prairie Rat, and
4) Ogle any Hottie that Might be Brought by Some Other Guy.
However, that weekend is also opening season on Meleagris Gallopavo Merriami, the Wild and Wily Tom Turkey Gobbler.
So---Please be so kinds as to allow me a Rain Check for another day.
Sincerely,
sfg

Raincheck approved.

So nobody from Lincoln wants to ride out and shoot Pdogs this Saturday?
Working a few a hours at the Kearney gun show is a small price to pay for the trip
I am planning on getting to Kearney by noon and back to Lincoln by midnight. I have room for two riders and gear. No smoking in the truck, and I don't drink alcohol, So you can rely on a safe trip home.
Post here if you are interested

Wish I could :(

Well Tulsa was good, now its time to concentrate on Kearney. I have been cleaning this place up for years, and now its looking alright.
I will print out a map to hand out at the show, with locations of prairie dog towns to shoot at in my area, along with directions on how to get here after the show.
I do not want anyone here until I get here, which will be 5:30.
All guns will be allowed. After the prairie dogs are hawk food, we can plink and shoot my shilouette and a spinning target. If you want to bring targets or something to shoot, feel free.
Pick up your brass and trash, don't peel out in my yard or on the pasture grass. Driving is fine anywhere you can get your vehicle to go.
Still looking for volunteers for sunday. Be part of the 4000th member weekend!

i want to go soooo bad dan! but i can't, since i work :(
make some pink mist for me! damn, i really wanted to really test my skill with my acog.
-
I went out and practiced shooting from the prone position and I was actually more consistently 1moa @100yds than from the bench. I am really curious to see if I can hold tight farther out at 200-300 yards. The Pdogs might be safe at that distance ;D
-
Man, I really wish I could go. Working the NFOA table is a good time anyway, but killing some prairie rats afterwards would be even better.
-
Anybody want to weigh in on my choice of projectiles for this shoot?
I can load either Hornady 55gr Soft points or 55gr VMAX. Either one is consistently 1 MOA in my 18" RRA
-
Whatever you have the most of Dan.
-
V-Max for the good mist.
-
OK - 250 VMAX 55gr ready to go
-
Prairie Dogs, Full autos and binary explosives...if you weren't at Scott's last night you missed out big time ;D

Sure wish I could have made it out there. Looks like you all had a great time.

103 new members and some great Tshirt sales. I want to thank AFixer and DanW for their great work in recruiting new members.
"The Shoot After the Show" will be an annual event. Everyone here was an NFOA member.
