I found me a 37r!
It's a 1950! Looks pretty darn good for a 62 year old from New York.

After a good scrub she is happy again! :D

I just cleaned up one for my Son in law...I didn't know about the slam fire "feature" and I thought the disconnector was malfunctioning.
Then I found out the early ones did not have a disconnector

I have two Ithacas and I think they are really under appreciated guns. One was my maternal grandfather's and the other was my dad's.

I still have my Ithaca 37 I bought when I was 16yrs old, I remember I paid $109 for it and I passed on the vent rib barrel because it was $10 extra.
I picked this shotgun because I shoot left handed and the bottom eject worked well for me.
It has the smoothest action of any pump shotgun I have fired.
I will leave it to someone eventually.

I have an Ithaca 37 I bought in the 70's. Definitely a nice shotgun, love the bottom eject.
