Title: Selling AR
Post by: mdc0331 on July 26, 2014, 12:22:09 PM
Looking to sell my AR but don't know if there is any laws or documentation I need to be aware of. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I usually just verify the purchaser with a valid drivers license or concealed handgun permit. Write up a bill of sale with both names, amount, date and good to go. If you sell across state lines then you need to get an FFL involved.

+ State purchase permit recommended... (but not required for long gun)

Verify state resident 18 or older, or if crossing state lines, send to FFL

Purchase permit or CCW is a good idea, BUT not required AND if the buyer is under 21 NOT an option.

You could also consign  the gun with a local FFL.....................I just happen to know a guy with an FFL who takes in consy guns   ;D

Send a PM if interested in going that route
