Are you sure about 100 yards for zero?

Most use the Improved battlesight zero

For my money I sight in about 1.5" high at 100yds with the Rear Sight set on the low position 300 setting, that will keep you within the A-Zone of an IPSC target from muzzle to 300yds.  Beyond that just crank the rear sigh up as the dial is calibrated to follow the trajectory of the cartridge till you stop again at 800.

So set the rear at 300 then use a bullet tip or sight tool to raise/lower the front sight post as needed to give you the impact point you want.

Match shooters will zero their rifle exactly then have a chart with how many clicks gets them right on for each distance they shoot.

If you need real precision then NM sights with finer clicks will be needed.
