Hey Everybody,
I'm looking for some help replacing the hand guard on my AR-15. I'm changing out my quad-rail for an alpha-rail. This should have been a simple operation, but the quad-rail had a proprietary barrel nut. So, I need some help putting on a standard barrel nut. I can probably get the alpha-rail installed once the gas system and barrel nut are back on.
I don't have the tools to do this and would be happy to pay a small fee (in ammo, greenbacks, or adult beverages) to someone that has the tools and could help me out.
I'm going to try to find a barrel nut in town somewhere in the next couple days and I would love to get this done so I can test it out this weekend. PM me if you can help.
Thanks!

I have the tools and would be willing to help, but I'll probably be tied up until next week or so. If you have a bench vise and want to borrow them let me know, though.

That's very kind. I might have to take you up on that. I'm still hunting for a barrel nut, so it may be a little while before I'm good to go on my end.
Anyway, I'll keep you in mind bkoenig. Thanks.

i think i have a spare barrel nut. do you need the whole assembly or just the nut?
also, BK is a good guy. he's helped me so many times.

If you have an extra one, I would gladly take it off your hands. PM me with how much and where we can meet.
Thanks.
