Title: Nelson sides with Republicans on Labor Nomination.
Post by: SBarry on February 09, 2010, 07:59:19 PM
Ben decided to finally consider how Nebraska feels, and vote to block the nomination of Becker.
Quote from Ben (AP news)

"Mr. Becker's previous statements strongly indicate that he would take an aggressive personal agenda to the NLRB, and that he would pursue a personal agenda there, rather than that of the administration," Nelson said in a statement.

Now, this is a first for Ben here lately. Imagine this:

"Ms. Sotomayor's previous statements strongly indicate that she would take an aggressive personal agenda to the US Supreme Court, and that she would pursue a personal agenda there, rather than that of the Constitution," Nelson should have said in a statement.

How would you feel about Ben then? You can substitute any number of the czars and appointees you want, and he voted against us every time. Remember, Ben dug his own grave, and I can see him trying to crawl back out of it with easy decisions like this, which he will point to every day during his re-election campaign.

Trust me Mr. Nelson, the gun owners and freedom loving people of Nebraska will never forget you snuggling up with your party at freedoms expense. The "Cornhusker Kickback" will turn into the "Cornhuskers kicking you to the curb!"

Ben proves again he will only vote conservative when his vote does not count. When the Senate recesses BO will appoint him to the position temporarily.

Is this the same Ben Nelson who ran against (R) Pete Ricketts stating that he (Ben) voted with the Bush Administration 90% of the time????

Gimme a break....

I thought old Ben believed eveyone should have a vote. At least that's what I was told during the Sotomayor debate. He is so two faced.

Becker is likely going to get the job anyway. Recess appointment. Nelson knows that is a possibility when he voted him down. It was all planned by BO, Reid and others. Hold a vote you know is going to fail just prior to a recess so the POTUS can appoint. Prez Bush did it with John Bolton.
