Looks like we made the good end of this list

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) ? An organization that advocates for the prevention of gun violence says Nebraska's gun laws rank among the weakest in the nation.

Too bad they can't explain why the rankings THEY use is inversely proportional to the crime in those states.
Guess it's a good thing. The Brady campaign has gotten to the point where almost anyone can see how flawed, twisted, and contradictory their arguments are.
-
They ( whoever the uninformed they's are ) didn't do a very good search. There are several states with les stringent laws than the states "they " list. LOL.
Poor Man

So, the question is, how do we turn this against the Brady bunch? I'm thinking a well written editorial pointing out the inverse relationship between loose gun laws and crime would be in order, if we can get the paper to publish it.

My Opinion:
Good rule of thumb. Be smarter than your opponent. Always choose a fight that?s worth fighting. The ?Brady? bunch is not worth the effort to acknowledge they exist, including in the OWH.
In cards: When you?re in a high stakes poker game, never show your cards to any of your opponents until it?s your turn to play. Unless you don?t want to win the game.
In Politics: When you?re in a political contest, never show your position to your opponent until it?s necessary. Even if your constituents want to know where you stand on any issue, never give out your position until it?s time. Like during a live debate. And, then only play the positions or cards necessary. Why? Because of the same reason you hide your cards in a poker game. If you show your position or cards to soon, it gives the opponent(s) time to put together information to out play your position. And then beat you at your own game. Never give your opponent ammunition which they can or could twist and use against you.
The ?Brady? bunch doesn?t live in Nebraska. They have ?NO control? over what we do or can do. Don?t even let them think they can get our attention with a reply to their bogus BS. No matter how bad a person would like to put them in their place, picking a fight un-necessarily in the OWH will not help.
Just my thoughts.

Here is the scoring criteria used:

I think that means we are under par! That's a good thing. But, there is always room for improvement.

I listened today to the TOT show on KGFW. Steve Altmier read the news item so I called in to correct it. He agreed and acknowleged the poor research the "Brady Tribe" had done. He made the same point you did WESchultz, and indicated "who ?
is the Brady Bunch" Most Nebraskans don't care what the BB thinks.
-
Personally, I think we should set a goal of scoring a zero on the brady test.
-
South Dakota has more lax gun laws than NE.

I said this on gunco.net about a month ago. Everybody in the whole country agreed.

Is it possible to have a negative score? That's a worthy goal!

Only 8 to go!
