Title: what is this nonsense?
Post by: Dtrain323i on June 23, 2009, 02:10:36 PM
This afternoon, the Omaha City Council will consider an ordinance that would require individuals wishing to sell firearms to "secondhand stores," such as Scheels, Guns Unlimited, and other places (which are not pawnbrokers), be fingerprinted before the transaction can occur. The ordinance would also require store owners to keep these fingerprints on record and authorizes law enforcement to inspect those records without notice or warrant.

Got that in an email from the NRA. I hadn't heard anything about this until today.

They have to do feel good legislation like this because actually preventing crime puts democrat voters in jail and lessens their power base.

It's complete crap, that's what it is. I'm freaking pissed off. I will join anyone that wants to make a "big stink" about this. We need to band together to get stuff like this thrown out.
