Final Reading - the third and last stage at which a bill is considered by the entire Legislature. The clerk reads the entire bill aloud, unless final reading is waived, and senators vote without debate on whether to submit the bill to the governor.

Yeah, it's been in for a while now.  LB430 was amended with AM936 back on April 2nd.

If a school sponsors an activity at a public location, such as a car wash in the local Wal-mart parking lot, would a CCW permit holder be guilty of illegal possesion of a firearm if the CCW permit holder entered the parking lot during the time of the school sponsored car wash? Reference Final Reading copy of LB430, Paragraph 28-1204.04(1), Page 22 Lines 20-23 and Page 23 Lines 16-21.

Oh, I guess I missed that.  I just remember Sen Fulton telling me that the church thing was a concession they made to keep the bill moving.  Guess my brain was stuck on that conversation still.

Josh1776,no since it is off school grounds and not on real school property.   But,you might want to call Steve Shaw who has I believe worked to get this LB430 thru at the State Patrol Office in Lincoln. rich17z@cox.net

I know it is a little late to change anything but, what is the point of Sec 7 Section 28-1204.03 1 thru 8 on the new LB430 "Fear of guns at school"

I fear getting out of bed, untill I holster my "PDA"

Just as well put something in there stating that Football players cause teen pregnacy, just because they (*&^%$##@)

I'm Going back to bed

The only thing changed in that section is taking out the "in"s and replacing with "at".

According to the note below the text, this language was added in 1994, about the same time as the "Brady Bill" and AWB.  I'm thankful that something more restrictive(ala New York, etc.) wasn't passed.
