Title: Springfield Flintlock

Ok all I had a customer yesterday and he has a springfield flintlock 1864 all matching #'s also come with bayonet and sheath he says the bayo # matches the rifle and normal wear and looks old and is a .54 cal if you want any info I will pass his ph# to you I think low ball end price 1700.00 he said he took to Stur Museum and they valued it appx 2400.00. I will not be a part of transaction just told him I would post this for him.

Flintlock? I would have thought military arms would be percussion cap fired by the time of the Civil War.

Ok maybe it was that its not my realm of knowledge...
