I really don't understand peoples' motivations anymore. Putting more registration, fingerprinting, and assault weapons bans on the law-abiding gun owners just hurts everyone in general. It makes us less able to protect ourselves, our families, and our neighbors in times of need. It punishes us, the lawful owners of firearms, for the crimes of criminals and felons that don't follow the laws. It just seems misguided and blatantly unfair.

/start sarcasm We interrupt your regular programming for this breaking news: Criminals don't care or follow gun laws. More at 11! /end sarcasm

I voted, not that it really tilted it in our favor... But I'm sure you can guess what I voted.

Most people think these things and 'vote' for these things out of complete ignorance.

Anyone seen the interview with the woman who introduced the assault weapons ban? The interviewer asks her what one of the things she wants to restrict is and she doesn't even know. The people that *made* the bill don't even know what it means. How the heck can the citizens be expected to? They vote out of fear and ignorance. Our country is in a sad state when fear and ignorance rule our people. It seriously makes me sad.

I'm willing to bet a crime poll in 2 years shows absolutely zero reduction in crime.

Doesn't matter what the results were, it is still wrong.

Cell phones, a way the government can track you anywhere.
