I put in for a form 4 on a suppressor at Reaper Arms in late September. They e-filed it for me. The stamp came back three days ago and I've been more than a little frustrated with the weather (too cold to shoot!), but at least it's clean for the crappy phone pictures. :)
Here it is:

My stamp "should" be here about mid February.

When did you file? October?
-
November. NFA Tracker is showing 91 days turnaround.
-
Nice. I just got a stamp back Monday on a Form 4 that was e-filed on September 24th.
-
Awesome.
I have one filed on October 2nd.

Sent my stuff to Scott at American Reaper Arms in September and haven't been approved yet :(
Although I am only expecting to have it before April or so, not my first one ;D
-
Just got mine approved today.

What is this one for?
-
Form 1 suppressor in 7.62.
-
Is this the second one? what are you doing on the design on this one? I have been doing a lot of reading on silencertalk and been doing some modeling of stuff. I wish I worked in a machine shop instead of a union plant... :(
-
This will be the 3rd can I've built and the second 30 caliber. I'm planning on making this one much lighter since I way overbuilt the last one. This one will only be used on a 300 Blackout and a 5.56 SBR, so it doesn't need to be nearly as robust. I'm also going to use plain 60 degree cone baffles instead of step baffles. I think that will cut down some on the weight as well as be a lot quicker to machine.
-
That's what I want to do also. I have posted a couple of questions on silencertalk those guys are really helpful! I have also read through your post on your 22 can. I look forward to seeing your new toy.
-
Just got mine approved today.
By that math mine should be here in about 2 weeks. Giggity.
-
You guys and your eforms....I'm still waiting from March and like April of last year. Congrats on the new can.
-
You think that's bad? I'm still waiting from Dec. 2012!
And it's not the first, so I know I'm good.

I'm in the same boat. I've been doing some design research here and there and may start getting more serious into it. I might have to pick your brain, bkoenig, but unfortunately my access to the machine shop at my work is strictly limited to... well... not this :( At first I started looking at designing a can for two of my pistols and realized quickly that I would need a booster, seriously complicating things. Then I got to thinking about a 556 for my current ARs or one for an undecided 308 bolt that is in my future.
Congrats on your paperwork, btw! Happy Day!!!
-
It has been a good week and a half. Two stamps!
Here's the latest (picked up this Huntertown Arms Kestrel 5.56 from Rod today).
This paper Form 4 was submitted in early March.

...Make that a good two weeks!
An approved Form 4 just came back on my Osprey .45. It was e-filed on October 22nd.

Here's hoping that it continues to be so fast...

Wow, sounds like e-file is the way to do it.
Quick question, were these using a trust or individual forms?
Thinking about it, there probably isn't a way to e-file the fingerprints and photo using an individual form....
-
The quick turnaround times are via e-forms. So currently that requires a trust.
-
I should look into one soon, if the rules change there will be little point in using a trust.

Well, there are the co-ownership and estate-planning benefits that would continue, but unfortunately the proposed rule change would require extra bureaucratic rigmarole for every trustee on future applications to make or transfer NFA firearms. Using a trust with multiple trustees to do your paperwork will actually become more difficult than applying as an individual (assuming that the regulations that are eventually promulgated look like the proposal).

I just checked on my eform, and from the homepage/draft/Form1 view, there aren't dates in the submitted & finalized date sections of my form. When I click into the form and go to the certify page, it shows: Your application has been SUBMITTED for processing.
I'm all set, right?
-
It means it has been submitted. So the wait begins.

I submitted in on 12/9. If the 90 day turnaround is still accurate, it should be approved in a week or two.

I did 3 E Form 1's over the weekend. It took probably 4-6 hours total to get it all done due to their wonderful website.
I(and many others) got this email this morning:
Good morning registered eForms users:
For the past two weeks you have been experiencing various performance related issues while attempting to use eForm. These issues have included slow response times, inability to finalize and submit forms, pay.gov screen not displaying, inability to select product types for some submissions, inability to view PDF’s, the system abruptly returning the user back to the home screen, and some of you have not been able to log in at all. While any of you have been able to successfully submit your eForms, others have not been able to get them out of your “Draft” folders.
First, we want to offer our sincere apology for what you are currently experiencing while using eForms. The quality of eForms’ current performance is not indicative of the quality of performance that ATF strives to provide its customers. We share your current frustrations and we want you to know that we are doing everything that we can to address these issues. We continue to meet every day with “experts” in the field, and we are confident that we will soon find a solution.
We believe that eForms is a worthwhile investment for us, as well as for you, the firearms industry. And we think that you feel the same. The statistics below are reflective of this week’s work (our eForms week is calculated from one Wednesday to the next for reporting purposes):
New eforms user registrations: 405
Form 1 submissions: 208
Form 3 submissions: 930
Form 4 submissions: 898
So, in spite of the performance issues, eForms is doing what it was designed to do. It may be slower and it may be temperamental at times, but we believe it to still be a worthwhile investment.
We are committed to provide, you, our customers, the best service that we can and to this end we will continue our efforts to resolve the issues with our eForms system. While we are trying to resolve these issues it may be necessary for us to perform system restarts throughout the day where we may bring eforms down for an hour or so. We request your patience with us and your understanding that this process is unavoidable until we can correctly identify and resolve the issues.
We will provide you with periodic updates on our efforts to ensure you of our commitment and to keep you informed. We thank you for your patience and your continued use of eForms until these issues are resolved.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime if you have any questions or comments at lee.alston-williams@atf.gov or you can use the “Ask the Experts” function within eForms.
Sincerely,
Lenora (Lee) Alston-Williams

Yeah, you can barely log into it lately. I logged in after I got that email this morning just to see if they had updated my form at all... nothing. I'm still within the 90 days, though. I'm wondering when the 90 day range is going to start to expand given all of the extra forms lately.
-
Mine took right at about 100 days, IIRC. So I would say it's starting to creep up.
-
I called NFA branch yesterday morning. Chatted with the gal on the other end for a few minutes and asked her what the current wait times were. Anything eFiled after November 1 is looking at 4 months.
-
I filed an efile form 1 for a SBR and got it in 28 days. Filed another one on August 22nd. Just waiting on that one still

I don't need to hear that. I really don't need to spend another $200.
Maybe I should F1 an AOW.

won't hurt anything to SBR it. Doesn't mean you have to run a shorty upper.
although a 308 SBR doesn't really make a lot of sense.
-
Just got a text from a buddy in Missouri.
17 days for his SBR. 17. Days. Damnit.
-
STOP IT! I already want one bad enough!!!
