Title: Omaha Auto Show
Post by: ILoveCats on January 19, 2018, 03:03:48 PM
Anyone been there? Is it worth the price of admission ($9, $7 for kids) or is it lame?

On the website I saw the list of exhibitors and included a timeshare condominium outfit.  ::)  Last thing  on earth I want to do is pay an admission fee to be bothered by people peddling crap, if it’s just a lot of that kind of stuff.

It's one of the weakest car shows I've ever attended.

Is the show new car dealers showing off what you can see in the showroom for free? or is it local people with hotrods and restored cars and trucks?

Thanks for the warning.

The last time I went, it was mostly just stuff you could see on new car dealer lots or in showrooms. There were a few custom cars but not as many as regularly show up at the Coffee and Cars at the 156th & Maple Hy-Vee.

PapaRoche and I go every year, mostly to hang out together and mock the new Ridgeline.

Yes, everything there from the dealers is also found on the lots, maybe. But it is all the dealers in one place so you can check out the Dodge, Chevy, GMC, Ford, Honda, and Toyota trucks without driving all over town.

They usually have some collectors' cars in there as well. They had quite a few nice privately owned cars this year.
Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, NSX, '70 Challenger in purple, Custom pickup (can't remember the year) and more.

Couple of motorcycle dealers always there as well.

Way more worth the money then the Outdoor show at the MAC. We did that on Saturday and I felt cheated honestly.

I still got a 3ft tall trophy I won there in 1975.. 3rd place  had a 1970 Z-28 Camaro.

it looked exactly like this pic, but  outside headers were black not crome,
