Hello, last month I traveled to Lincoln to meet some members who meet for coffee once a month.
A very informal, come as you are, have some breakfast/coffee and meet other like minded members of NFOA.
I would like to get this going in the Omaha area and would like to meet this Sat. AM the 9th at the HyVee resturant at 180th and Pacific at 09:00.
If anyone is interested, myself and my son will be there, please post if you think you could come, I think we need to put faces with the folks we chat with on the forum.
Please post so I know if anyone is interested.

Would love to go to a 'greet and meet' in the area and THAT is in the area... However, I have a training course to do out of town this weekend... Bummer.. Maybe next time.
-
I'll try to make it.
-
i'd love to, but i have to work another weekend. hope you have a great turnout.
-
Too bad, I work Saturdays as well. Maybe it will hit some Saturday I'm off.
-
cool Im up for it ;D
-
Any possibility of doing this earlier in the day? My Saturdays are usually pretty busy, but I could probably sneak in something around 7:30 or so.

Mud It would be fine with me to meet earlier, I am an early riser. I also have a busy day planned Sat.
Hopefully I can get Famous556 up.
Does anyone who is coming have a problem with 07:30?
Post here if that won't work.
Thanks Greg

Since I have not heard any oposition to 07:30, lets meet then.
Once again the HyVee at 180th and Pacific, Saturday March 09, 07:30 AM.
I will be wearing a hunter orange camo cap. My son and I look forward to meeting some area members in person, please don't be shy.

I am going to be near 60th & Grover at 10:00 so the earlier start time just might work out for me.

See you there. Not sure what I'll be wearing, but I'll look for your cap.

I'd love to attend... but 7:30 is a tad too early for me given my current schedule, and it's also a half hour drive heh. Calling it 'Omaha' is nearly a misnomer LOL.
Possibly catch ya on the next one :).

Good to see those that were able to make it!

It was nice to meet you all and put some faces to the usernames.

I agree Famous556... not to mention breakfast with cool discussion, and in the company of new friends.
If something is brought up for next month, maybe others could suggest a location that works better for them (unfy..lol). I`m flexable as far as location & time..it`s going to be a bit of a drive anyhoo.
-
Thanks to all who came out for our first Omaha coffee roundup. It was nice to meet some new folks, I enjoyed the company and thoughtful conversation. I was suprised we were there for over 2 hrs.
Unfy, I picked the west O location strictly for my own convenience, since I was coming in from Valley, then I felt bad when I found out Hank came clear from Neb.City.
If you come next month I'll let you pick the spot.

I agree that 2 hrs went by quickly Greg, and it was a pleasure to meet you and your sons.
As far as the drive goes, like I said, I had to meet a guy with a couple of old license plates.
You guys would laugh if you knew what I paid for a couple of old plates stamped out in 1966..lol
I will PM you with additional contact info, and I wouldn`t mind having that picture your son had on his phone if he has the ability to e-mail..that was too funny.

Yes Hank I would belive what old liscense plates are bringing. I bought a set of 1958 NE. plates for a car I no longer own. I should probably e-Bay them, I actually have a lot if you are ever looking for something else.

haha, yep thats the one. I saved it, thanks.
I have tried to send a couple of PM`s, but I keep getting page not available..page..lol

Well, much of our members are indeed from the central / western side of the state, so the meeting place is decently chosen as something of a compromise.
My schedule just really didn't like a whole 6-7am wake up call :)
