The AR15 build party will be run by Dan W
and Brian Koenig ( if his schedule allows)
We only have an hour and a half, so I would like to focus on building lowers, Brian has all the tools and experience with upper builds, so if we can find a vise to use on the grounds we may be able to fit that in too.
looks like we will have to stick too lower builds only unless I get another volunteer with experience to help out
If you have an AR15 project in the works, get your parts in hand and let's Git r Dun. Or maybe you just want to learn how it is done. Nothing like a hands on demo from an experienced black rifle wrench.
Also if you are having some issues with a finished build, maybe we can figure out the problems together 8)
-
can we use the range? i need to test fire a couple AR builds i have finished.
i've built a couple of lowers and a few uppers, so i could possibly give some help to the AR building, but i don't have the fancy tools.
what should we bring for the potluck? whats needed?
-
Well guys, it turns out I'll be out of town that day so I won't be able to help. You can borrow my tools though.
-
I have never built an upper, so the tools would be wasted on me...guess we will have to stick to lowers

Robert I don't know for sure if the ranges will be available yet
As for potluck meals, just bring what you like or a favorite recipe. No real coordination here, but it always works out
-
Hmmm...
Kinda short notice on this meeting to work it into the schedule, but I'll try.
A good, strong vice is needed for AR upper building. I can bring the tools if my schedule allows.
On a side note, are member email alerts being sent out anymore? I haven't received one since late June.
-
Planning on being there as of now.
-
If any member is certain that they will have a lower to build, please post here
-
Anyone...anyone...Bueller?
-
I have one I could send along and you could build it for me... ;D

Has an email been sent out to NFOA members announcing this meeting? I haven't received one..
Might get a few more people to attend this meeting if they know it's going to happen, since it is less than 2 weeks away.
I will be bringing AR Lower tools, barrel wrench, upper vice block, etc., just not sure what time I will get there.
-
I have a stripped lower and parts kit ready to go, I'm still trying to get my schedule cleared so I can make it. Right now I'm not sure.
-
any update on being able to use the range?

any update on being able to use the range?
Contact Rod Moeller as he set up the use of the Ike's club house
-
Yes, shooting should be available. We don't have anything formal setup. But, the range should be available for use, provided that an Ike's member (or two) is present. I'm sure we have a few Ike's members that will be in attendance. They think the 100 yard range should be operational again by Saturday.
-
YES! thanks so much!
forgot to ask... is there a range fee?
-
He said it would be as members bringing guests. Who is a member at Lincoln Ike's that can say what the guest fee is (if any)?
-
Ikes Guest fee is $10
-
I strongly suggest that anyone wanting to shoot as a guest read the rules of the range
