It's thicker than the industry standard single-stack pocket 9mm handguns, including the PPS and XDS.
It's even thicker than the S&W Shield, which isn't even an actual single-stack, but rather uses a semi-staggered magazine.
It holds fewer rounds than both the Shield and XDS, despite being bigger.
It will cost more than the Shield and many others.
But, it's still a Glock, so the fanboys will buy the hell out of them at first making them scarce and causing them sell for over retail no doubt.
Me? I think they really screwed up with this one and I'll pass. I see no advantage to it over my LC9s, but hey... whatever trips your trigger I suppose.

Basically the same size as the 26, just a tiny bit slimmer. I didn't really care for my 26. I would rather carry a 19 instead. My carry gun is a Shield and I would carry that over them all.
-
im a S&W fan, but what does Mr Zeeb think of it?
-
I really like my 17 really like it. I don't care for small guns because of my big clumsy hands. I really need to look into a 19 for something to carry. Looks like Glock maybe missed again.
-
I can't live with 6+1 when my G26 holds 12+1

Haven't held one yet, but I'm sure it will be wildly popular. Might make a great BUG, but I'm good with my G26
-
Interesting that they didn't have them at SHOT.
-
Wasn't ready to go to production....... With the current supply of other models apparently drying up lately, I'm just going to take a wild stab in the dark that they are in full production of G43 only right now.
Glock sold 200,000 G42 .380 pistols so far, so imagine what the demand is going to be for this.....

Glock going backwards??

I personally want one and I have ordered one. My feeling is, if you can't get the job done with 6+1 you probably should buy a shotgun. :D

This video sums up my feelings pretty well

Interesting...........
I see a "Why don't gun makers make ( Insert your favorite here ) threads almost every week on the gunboards I am active on..............now Glock actually makes one of those guns that "everybody wants" and now, well, so far, not much excitement.......
I dunno, maybe that's why Gun companies don't take suggestions from gunboards.... and instead look at actual hard data concerning BUYING trends just a thought :P

Probably because as people have said, it is larger with less capacity and costs more than other solidly reliable similar guns already on the market.
Don't get me wrong, I prefer Glocks to other pistols. But in a straight up comparison between the Shield and this gun, the Shield is going to win unless magically the Glock recoil is significantly different and they put a completely different type of trigger in it.
(Edited because typos make me feel like an idiot.)

For once, Thomas and I agree. Glock is more than a day late and a dollar short. There are any number of competing pistols on the market that are smaller and/or with larger capacity and proven reliability.

No...I think there was one other time.

Initially, we thought that we agreed but then we disagreed that we ever agreed.

Oh...I guess that makes it -1 for 2 then?

This reminds me of my wife. There was that one time she thought she was wrong but it turned out she wasn't.

I agree with you both. Definitely way late with this one. Just hope this slow down delivery on my new Glock 34 Gen4 >:D

I handled one last week, it takes the Glock New York trigger to a new limit, I would say somewhere close to Mars. It reminded me of the H&R or High Std. revolvers of years gone by.
