This is the round I carry in my personal defense pistol. According to Speer's Ballistic Table, http://www.speer-ammo.com/ballistics/ammo.aspx , this cartridge achieves a velocity of 1200 f/s and 496 foot lbs of energy at the muzzle when fired from a 4" barrel.
