When Christopher Rearick went to shoot a pheasant, he fell. His 12-gauge Benelli shotgun went off, and the bullet his his son in the back of the head.
Or just maybe this guy was hunting pheasant with slugs. Maybe.

How about the idiot hunter walking around with the safety off and his finger on or near the trigger.

At 10pm Brandi Petersen said the man was shooting at a "Peasant" as well. Stumbling for words I guess

Interview from last night on 10P news.. He did not get full impact of the shot, only a few pellets grazed the left side of his head above the ear.

I don't get the press bashing when they get things technically wrong. I used to get worked up about it, but I have accepted the fact that they are not going to be experts in every topic they report on and they can't research the terminology in the short time they have to get a story published or on the air.
I agree with Shawn. The stupidity of the father was far greater than that of the press.

Press bashing on technicalities is like those who point out problems in science fiction shows / movies.
The difference is, the Press is SUPPOSED to be more factual.
So, I give the Press-bashers a free pass based on the above assertion :).
