Title: a curved pistol?
Post by: shooter on November 18, 2014, 10:20:40 PM
OK this is just strange, a pistol that is curved to follow the curves in your body?

Wonder if it will shoot around corners?

I saw that earlier and thought to myself,..... self,... wth is THAT...?!?!?!?

It's Taurus, so who knows how "well" it will perform or what it'll do.  lol

I just saw this on Facebook. First glance, I thought it was that pepper spray thing that Kimber makes. It's interesting looking, but it is also made by Taurus, so who knows.

I wanna shoot it. (Not pull the trigger, I want to hang it on a target and shoot at it.)

Caleb had some pretty scathing things to say about it. :)

(And some of the comments are pure gold:  "Caleb, that’s not a pistol. You’ve just reviewed a pocket flashlight and laser pointer, which for an inexplicable reason has a .380 barrel on top.")

It has a built-in belt clip?  :o Hope nobody's dumb enough to use that instead of a holster.

One of the commenters adamantly stated that it "has a trigger block!" so that makes it All Safe.

I just love the complete lack of SIGHTS.  (Because, of course, a laser makes everything All Right.  And besides, no one uses their sights in real defensive situations, and point-shooting is completely the way to go.)

A gun should be beautiful.  It should have an emotional appeal that makes you want to spend time with it, and never be without it, and know every square millimeter of it blindfolded.  It should be something your progeny someday look at proudly as "Grandpa's gun that he always carried."  It can even involve plastic in some cases.

My LCP is all of those things.  This Taurus is most certainly none of them.

Um.  We think about guns in a VERY different fashion.  Just sayin'.....

Good point.  The Kilo Lima is not only superior to the Glock in function, it also aesthetically puts the Glock to shame.

It has some interesting ideas, like the integrated laser, but it fails in so many other areas.

I'll give Taurus one thing, they have some pretty creative marketing people thinking up their designs.  Too bad the engineers don't slap them up side the head and tell them to go back to their cubicles.
