In general, stupidity of this level has historically prevented the idiot in question from passing down his or her genetic material.  Occasionally, though, someone pees in the gene pool and we end up with this.

that's a far stretch of logic trying to imply that the only way to "trust the man next to you" is by walking the gauntlet...

I'm pretty sure that I would lose any "trust in the man next to me" if he actually thought that was a good idea, let me do that, and then shot around me...
