Title: Tokarev and Hollow Points??
Post by: bigdog on March 03, 2011, 08:54:07 PM
Does any one have experience using hollow points with a Romanian Tokarev? Have you had any jamming with them?

Pete,
I have had a Chicom Tok for a number of years. It came with both 9mm and 7.62x25 barrels. Both are problematic with anything other than military ball type ammo. With milsurp ball or FMJs they shoot fine. I would bet the Romys are going to be the same. You can give it a try but its most likely going to jam some.

I doubt anyone makes one, but a softpoint would be nice.  Try Cor Bon.

Well, I can answer my own question. I tried a mag full of Wolf Gold JHP in both of my Romanian Tokarev's and they cycled through the hollow points just fine.
