This young lady was fortunate, but the second time violating a protection order - he needs to just be locked up in the interests of public safety.

"An Omaha Police helicopter helped locate a man who police say attempted to abduct his ex-girlfriend early this morning.

...A 19-year-old Omaha man was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, domestic assault, burglary, strangulation and violation of a protection order. This is the second time the man has been accused of violating a protection order, according to court records."

We need to let people know they have the right and responsibility to defend themselves. Also we need to get the laws in Nebraska changed to support your ability to defend yourself, not be second guessed by others - make a call for the Castle Doctrine in Nebraska now.

When I read the thread title, I was reminded of Lawdog's "Meditations on Paper Armor".   It's a GREAT read!
