Title: Marlin 1894 Rifle
Post by: Chris Z on January 26, 2008, 09:37:02 AM
This is a neat little lever gun. .357 magnum (also shoots .38 special). Although not a great caliber for deer hunting or silohuette shooting, it is handy to shoot a pistol caliber which I already reload for.

I talked to a guy once who uses one of these for pig hunting.  I think his brother or some other relative has a ranch in Texas with a lot of heavy brush, so a pistol caliber lever gun worked pretty well for quick shots.  I can't remember if his was .357 or .44 mag though.
